The flag of Lebanon features the Cedars of Lebanon, trees valued by all civilizations of the Middle East. The Bible mentions them as many as 76 times as the building blocks of Solomon’s Temple.

The Lebanese are Semitic people – descendants of the ancient Phoenicians and Arameans.
Descendants of Assyrians, Egyptians, Persians, Greeks and, of course, Arabs also live here.
